Your Instructor
Glenda is presently the Diversional Therapist and Supervisor coordinating lifestyle programs and therapeutic music activities for residents at Azure Blue, Redcliffe, and she has worked as a Music Therapist and Diversional Therapist in both hospital settings and departments, as well as numerous aged and care facilities for over 16 years.
Glenda has numerous degrees in music, fine and commercial art including: An Associate Degree in Social Science in Aged Care from ACU, Dementia Management Course with Alzheimer’s Association, Depression Management with Beyond Blue, and a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. She has also Completed Laughter Boss and Play Up specialist training and has regularly presented posters and been guest speaker at DRTA Workshops and DRTA and DEMENTIA RESEARCH National Conferences.
Glenda as well as being our facilitator today as mentioned earlier is the Secretary on the National Board for DRTA and comes with a wealth of experience coming from being a volunteer to her role of coordinating them.
